Biogas agricultural installations
Integral procedure and total concept:
By integral procedure, we mean an exploration of the possibilities for integrating a biogas installation, into your company. These explorations lead to an initial offer to you, where we make a proposal for the delivery of a biogas installation.
This first offer gives you a vision of:
| • | The composition of the raw material and expected amount of gas and effluent, with qualitative and quantitative descriptions ; |
| • | The extra value of biogas residue as fertilizer and proper handling, storage, and application; |
| • | Highlights of the installation and capacity of the facility; |
| • | Necessary investments; |
| • | Expected revenue and the time until the initial investment is recovered. |
The total concept of OGIN Biogas:
Biogas installations will be delivered as a total concept, which means we will deliver an tailored made installation that is properly functioning from the storage of substrate, the delivery of biogas, and the storage of digestate.
Subsidies and mandatory licenses:
The obtaining of subsidies and license requests, will be transferred to the consulting firm FAPS BV .
Characteristics and features:
An installation of OGIN Biogas is designed for maximum gas production and seamless integration into the company. The reason for high returns is the high temperature thermofilic digestion regime (approx. 55 degrees Celsius) in combination with separate hydrolysis of the substrate. Because of this intensive digestion we build compact digesters, which are a perfect fit for on-farm digesting.
High passage speed:
Due to the high temperature and hydrolysis the speed of the retention time of the substrate will be reduced to about 15 days. Because of this, you can digest a large amount of product (feeding) with a relatively small digester. The feeding of these digesters needs a lot of attention, care and good organisation.
Installation forms:
Ogin has two different technologies available for digestion:
| • | Completely mixed digestion; |
| • | Plug flow digestion |
The completely mixed installation can be distinguished by its vertical, cylindrical, form. These digesters are usually made of concrete. To achieve good, intensive, digestion we designed a special mixing system without mechanical parts in the digester. Compressed biogas drives this mixing system. This type of digester is very useful for liquid blends (up to 17 % DM). The average retention time in this digester is about 15 days, depending on the type of process and the input used. The input of the digestible material (substrate) and the output of the residue (digestate) to the secondary digester takes place systematically.
Plug flow installations are based on horizontal digesters. These digesters are long cylindrical or rectangular tanks, usually built partially below ground level. New material is added to the tank at one end and pushes older material to the opposite end, as a result the material flows though the tank in a “plug”. The average retention time of substrates in the plug flow is 15 to 20 days. The retention time can be controlled very precisely with this digestion system, by doing so, we obtain the maximum amount of biogas out of the substrate. The dry-matter content of the substrate can be increased to 25 % or even 35% through this process depending the stirring type used.
